. . : : For who? : : . .Dutch Design in Development (DDiD) acts as a matchmaker between Dutch designers and small, medium enterprises in developing countries. Together with local designers and local craftsmanship, Dutch designers develop products which are fine tuned to the European market. DDiD offers Dutch designers the possibility to gain new inspiration and to work in other circumstances with other materials and techniques.
Products and services from emerging markets in developing countries are often insufficiently suited to the needs of European consumers. In order to give small-and-medium-sized businesses from these countries a better chance on the European market, Dutch Design in Development facilitates exchanges of expertise between designers, marketing- and communication-specialist from the Netherlands and businesses in developing countries. At the other hand their specific expertise and experience can help companies in developing countries improve their products and get access to new markets. DDiD mainly focuses on projects with design questions for exporting products and services to the European market. The projects deal with product design, graphic design, packaging, spatial design, interactive design or brand design. Depending on the question, a designer will visit the company-site for a minimum of two weeks and a maximum of four months. We find you a Dutch designer who will assist you with designing or re-designing your product or teach your own designers how to design for European customers. Depending on your problem or question, we will find a designer who can assist you for a period from two weeks till four months at your own company.
